How it started

Teun and Marijke Sijbrands know the ins and outs of life on board like no other. Teun was captain, while Marijke was responsible for hospitality as hotel manager. This experience came in handy when they had their first ship built, a container ship for cargo shipping. Marijke says: “We sailed with that for four years, but then we wanted to do something else.”

SijFa Cruises offers its guests a unique experience on the water, with excellent service and a cozy atmosphere. SijFa Cruises delivers customized solutions, by listening to the wishes and needs of the passenger and responding to them.

At SijFa Cruises, people are central, both the guests as well as their employees. The guests feel welcome and at home on board the ships, which are run by a close-knit family business.

CEO & Owner

Rederij SijFa Cruises wants to pamper and unburden its guests. “They don’t have to think about anything anymore. The service level is very high and that is in the details. As soon as guests come on board, their suitcases are brought to their cabin.

Managing Director

There is a personal bond between the staff and the guests, they are very friendly with each other. We create that atmosphere very consciously and that is how we keep people with us. About forty to fifty percent of our guests come back every year.”
